C.Ron Allen who is the Chair of Estella’s Brilliant Bus challenged students to produce their best work.
DELRAY BEACH, Fla. --Students at a local mentorship program were challenged to do their best this school year, and they rose to the occasion. They celebrated their accomplishments by shaving off their mentor's (C.Ron Allen Chair of Estellas´s Brilliant Bus) beard. At KOP Mentoring Network in Delray Beach, for the first time in 30 years 100% of the students finished the school year without getting in trouble. That's not all, as 90% of them ended the year with an "A" or "B. "The mayor of Delray Beach, the chief of police and many others were all there to celebrate the students' accomplishment. West Palm Beach, Fla., January 23, 2024 – The William R. Kenan, Jr. Charitable Trust team met with the Estella’s Brilliant Bus Executive Committee and our Underwater Robotics students on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at the Palm Beach Lakes Community High School. We thank the William R. Kenan, Jr. Charitable Trust for their support to ensure that the 2024 Brilliant Bus Full STEAM Ahead Projects continue to significantly impact the lives of underserved youth and the underprivileged communities we serve. Estella’s Brilliant Bus thanks its volunteers, teachers, educators and bus drivers for the many hours of service to the students in Florida this year. Driving to schools, youth clubs, and mobile home communities, providing youth of all ages the opportunity to become comfortable with STEAM learning and technology that would otherwise be unavailable to them. By getting parents, students and schools involved, the Brilliant Bus team has been able to make a difference within entire communities since the program’s inception in 2008.
